SPONSORED PROGRAMS ADMINISTRATOR for IRB
The Office of Sponsored Programs at New York University seeks a Sponsored Programs Administrator to work with the University Committee on Activities Involving Human Subjects (UCAIHS), which reviews almost 1300 new applications, continuing reviews, and responses as requested each year. The Committee is currently staffed by two Projects Officers supported by two Administrators.
The Administrator will provide support for: tracking and maintaining human subject protocol files, both computerized and paper; respond to queries concerning submission and approval requirements; provide preliminary review of Applications and responses to the Committee; and manage post-review notifications to applicants. The Administrator will also have responsibility for Committee meeting organization, including scheduling, preparation of agendas and materials for Committee members, and taking minutes at Committee meetings.
Applicants should:
have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in research administration, preferably in a university division with significant social science/education human subjects activity;
possess excellent computer, communication, client relations and interpersonal skills;
be service oriented;
work well both independently and in a group;
be cool under deadline pressures; and
have a good sense of humor.
