The Office of Research Programs, Geisinger Clinic is seeking a full time IRB Manager. The IRB Manager will report to the Director, Office of Research Programs and will be responsible for the management of support staff and activities related to the effective administration and function of two established IRBs. Specific duties include but are not limited to providing a point of contact for investigators conducting research involving human participants, coordinating the review of protocols, assisting the Chairs in expedited reviews, maintaining policies and procedures, maintaining a database of open studies, preparing activity reports and conducting audits of ongoing studies.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge and understanding of human subjects protections regulations and their implementation. In addition, the successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in nursing, biology, public health or related field and 3-5 years of IRB related experience. CIP or equivalent certification is desirable. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
