Human Subject Protection Program Manager

The Carle Foundation is seeking a Human Subject Protection Program (HSPP) Manager to assist the Director in achieving the primary mission of the Program. Specifically, the manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Program, including the supervision of 2-5 staff and ensuring efficient, effective, and compliant IRB submission processing procedures. In addition, the manager will develop and implement educational offerings for investigators, key research personnel, and IRB members.
Candidates must have advanced education and knowledge in a field of science or learning customarily acquired by prolonged specialized intellectual instruction and study normally associated with a degree at the Master’s level or higher. A JD and Certified IRB Professional (CIP) certification are preferred.
Qualified candidates will have outstanding research compliance, organizational management, critical thinking, communication, and customer service skills. Three to five years of IRB experience or experience with the IRB administrative review process or two to three years experience with the IRB review process is preferred. Two to three years of research management experience in a compliance and/or regulatory environment is required.
