The Committee on Clinical Investigations, (CCI), is looking for an exceptional professional familiar with computer programming and SQL database development and support, who is able to develop and lead educational programs and work both independently and in a team- oriented environment.
Reporting to the Manager, the position is responsible for learning the University’s current online application software and ensuring correct implementation of new software, overseeing daily use of the new software from an operational perspective, and developing and implementing an education program for CCI staff and all users.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
¨ Assist in the quality assurance of the department, identify deficiencies, and recommend solutions and procedural changes
¨ Oversee grant sign-off on all grant applications involving human research
¨ Develop a sound understanding of office procedures for all transactions
¨ Schedule staff meetings, assist in preparation and distribution of agenda and documents, record and maintain minutes of staff meetings
¨ Maintain and update the CCI website
¨ Develop PowerPoint presentations and other materials for CCI’s continuing education program
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; ability to work independently and in a team-orientated environment; work effectively and diplomatically with all levels of staff; knowledge of (or willingness and ability to learn) federal human research regulations.
The CCI is the federally designated Institutional Review Board (IRB) for all of the colleges of Yeshiva University, Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital. As such, the CCI and its administrative staff review all proposals for human subject research and monitor the research in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
