Director of Research Compliance (RO053)
The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire a Director of Research Compliance. This executive level position is responsible for the development, implementation, management, and administration of research compliance activities, including policy formulation, and management of daily operations related to human and animal research at West Virginia University. Manages the application processes for AAHRPP & AAALAC accreditation; implements, maintains, and assesses programs; and serves on the WVU Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Institutional Animal and Care Committee (IACUC) as an ex officio (non-voting) member and ensures human subjects’ protocol is enforced.
Requirements: master’s degree; and five to seven years experience with clinical trials; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid driver’s license is also required. Preference will be given to those with a terminal professional degree; experience at an AAALAC accredited organization, and/or experience in the medical field with clinical trials.
This position is located in Morgantown, WV, Forbes’ 9th Best Place for Business and Careers (metros less than 150,000 population), home of WVU, and is one day's drive from 6 of the 8 largest U.S. metropolitan areas, 20 metro areas with populations of 1 million or more, and 22 of the nation's top 35 industrial markets. WVURC, a nonprofit affiliate of WVU, the flagship land-grant, doctoral degree-granting research university in the state of West Virginia.
