Position: IRB Coordinator - Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford, Oregon

The IRB Coordinator will perform a variety of functions for the Institutional Review Board, both independently and under the direction of the IRB Chair. These duties will include coordinating IRB meetings, preparing meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes and distributing information and materials to board members; implementing and maintaining the research study software program; educating and supporting community physicians regarding government and IRB requirements concerning submissions or desired submissions to the IRB; developing, coordinating, collaborating and managing the IRB process to ensure compliance with IRB requirements, Medicare requirements and other governmental financial requirements of providers involved in clinical research including monitoring processes for coding and billing of claims involving patients enrolled in research studies.
Minimum qualifications: 2 years experience with an Institutional Review Board; a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced knowledge and skills in database and software program management, time management, internet and research skills, typing, proofing, and general computer skills.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge and experience with clinical research, IRB operations and requirements, and coding and billing functions for hospital services as well as certification in IRB Management (CIM) by the National Association of IRB Managers (NAIM).
