The Research Administrative Liaison at Health First/Holmes Regional Medical Center serves as a central point of contact for the Health First research community (including Principal Investigators, the IRB, Research Coordinators/Nurses, Administrators, private practice physician groups, Legal Counsel, and Facilities Operations.) The Research Administrative Liaison plays a key role in initiating clinical research at Health First and ensuring that personnel involved in research at Health First are aware of and trained to understand and follow Health First research policies, expectations, and forms. Key responsibilities of this position include the following:
– Ensuring that PIs submit complete and accurate application packets to initiate research review processes at Health First;
– Serving as Health First’s liaison to Western IRB;
– Collecting and maintaining regulatory documentation when Health First patients are to be receiving research test/procedures;
– Ensuring that patient access (i.e., admitting, scheduling, and registration) personnel are aware of research participants when they present at Health First for services.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a related field with three (3) years of relevant experience; or an Associates Degree and five (5) years of relevant experience. Clinical Research Coordination experience preferred; knowledge of key federal human subjects research regulations. Must stay abreast of regulatory developments to ensure that Health First policies are consistent with up-to-date information; knowledge of drug/device development process and the pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing industry is preferred. Advanced experience using information technology like spreadsheet, database and word processor applications.
