EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH - Rockville, MD
The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a physician-owned and managed multi-specialty group with over 900 physicians serving 550,000 patients at 30 medical centers. We're seeking an Executive Director of Research to serve as both a scientific and administrative leader providing direction that includes developing and enhancing research programs and expanding research capability. Reporting to the MAPMG's Associate Medical Director for Emergency Care Management and Government Relations, you'll actively participate in the organization's efforts to improve the health of members by providing scientific input. You'll also address issues of interest to Kaiser Permanente and the national research community and write, coordinate and/or submit grant applications.
An MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent degree with at least 10 years of productive research experience is required. At least 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity of a research organization is desired, preferably including experience within a health care delivery setting.
