Park Nicollet Health Services (PNHS) is seeking a qualified individual to direct Park Nicollet Institutional Review Board (IRB) activities in compliance with federal, state and institutional regulations and policies governing human subjects research. The Institutional Review Board Manager is responsible for PNHS’ program for the protection of human research subjects and for oversight for all activities of the PNHS Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the IRB for the Community Oncology Programs. The person provides guidance to Park Nicollet (PN) research community to identify and address issues related to their clinical research. The person provides education and advises IRB members, investigators, and other research team members on relevant regulations and the ethical conduct of research. The person manages the development and implementation of policies and procedures to assure that research with human subjects conducted by PNHS staff is in accordance with federal and state regulations and PN standards. In addition, this individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive program for the responsible conduct of research. The manager will supervise a 2-person staff.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or equivalent in health related field with five or more years of related experience in a research environment and three or more years of direct IRB experience. Must have working knowledge of FDA and OHRP regulations and ability to educate others and promote understanding of the need to protect human subjects in research. Highly organized, detail oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Individual must be a self-starter and have excellent teamwork skills.
