 IRB Submissions Team Manager -- Cincinnati, OH

Schulman is currently looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join one of our Business Operations teams! A short summary which outlines the primary responsibilities is provided here:

POSITION SUMMARY: This position provides immediate management and oversight of a group of IRB Operations Coordinators and/or IRB Operations Specialists as they perform their daily work. The primary focus is to manage the assigned team(s) to maximum efficiency, productivity and quality.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
•BA/BS or 3 years equivalent in management experience required
•Intermediate or advanced computer skills
•5 years experience in the clinical research industry preferred, 2 yrs experience accepted
•Basic IRB knowledge base, 2 yrs of IRB experience preferred
•Certified IRB Professional (CIP) or IRB Manager Certification (CIM) preferred, will accept certification within 2 yrs of being in the position

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
•Demonstrated leadership skills
•Demonstrated management skills
•Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, schedule and complete work within deadlines
•Ability to plan, assign and direct the work of others
•Advanced knowledge of the business and team processes
•Demonstrated consistency and dependability in attendance, quantity and quality of work
•Ability to work independently and make decisions when circumstances warrant
•Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of issues
•Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing - work harmoniously across all levels of the organization
•High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, maintaining good employee morale
•Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work
•Experience in Quality Improvement activities
