Position summary: Administrative Assistant III
Provides general administrative support to all staff in the Office for Research Integrity including composing and typing routine correspondence and/or reports, creating and updating databases, IRB meeting preparation, minute-taking and follow-up, maintaining department filing system, act as Receptionist for department, and other various administrative duties.
Job requirements:
Knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory requirements/guidelines related to the conduct of research or demonstrated ability to learn basic level of the regulations that would impact the job functions. (Example: Understanding the regulatory terminology of expedited versus exempt to enable proper filing of the types of protocol submissions.)
Must possess ability to handle, with minimal supervision, administrative aspects of the IRB staff.
Must possess ability to take accurate minutes for the Board meetings.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with situations in a positive, professional manner. Self-motivated, able to set priorities and work independently yet within a collaborative environment. Ability to coordinate multiple activities concurrently in a deadline-oriented environment. Attention to detail.
