Research Program Manager
Glendale Memorial Hospital - Glendale, CA
This position is responsible for the operational management of the Clinical Research Department. Will coordinate the day-to-day operation of the Research Department, supervise & direct four clinical research staff, collaborate with members & staff of the Institutional Review Board and facilitate strategic growth of existing research programs. Position will also serve as the principal administrative liaison of all human subjects' research with respect to aligning the admin, legal, financial and ethical IRB review of all new studies.
Qualifications include:
* Outstanding managerial and organization skills tied to knowledge of research admin in the application of regulations that promote the protection of human subjects.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in research admin in hospital setting or closely related fields required.
* Combination of 3 or more years' experience in budget preparation, personal management or general business management required.
* Thorough understanding of operational requirements related to the management and implementation of Institutional Review Boards (IRB).
* Scientific writing and grant development experience preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical research or closely related discipline required.
* Thorough knowledge of fiscal planning, principles and techniques of administrative management including organization, planning, staffing training and reporting.
* Knowledge of GCP, ICH, Federal, State and other general regulatory research oversight requirements.
* Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Certification (CTTI) (for ethics in Human Research) required.
* CCRP - Certified Clinical Research Professional preferred.
