Job Vacancy: Consulting Associate

The HRP Consulting Group (HRP), a relationship-driven consulting organization dedicated to providing expert advice to IRBs and human research protection programs, is seeking to hire a Consulting Associate to meet our growing business demands. We are looking for customer-service oriented, experienced IRB professional to assist us in working with a growing client base ranging from universities and hospitals to central IRBs, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and research sponsors.

Responsibilities

· Provides temporary staffing support to HRP clients.

· Helps clients develop and refine their IRB and HRPP-related operations.

· Assists clients develop regulatorily compliant record-keeping procedures.

· Aids clients in making human subject research and exemption determinations.

· Provides answers to regulatory questions.

· Conducts training and education for IRB members, investigators, and staff.

· Conducts reviews of client policies and procedures, application forms and checklists, and IRB minutes and records as part of HRP Program Evaluations.

· Conducts audits of IRB and investigator files to evaluate compliance with regulatory and IRB requirements.

· Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

The Consulting Associate must possess the requisite skills and experience to meet the demands of the position. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

· 3-5 years of experience working in an IRB Office.

· Demonstrated ability to fulfill the duties and functions described in the “Responsibilities” section above.

· BA/BS from an accredited university.

· Willing to travel up to 80%.

· Knowledge of federal regulations governing the protection of research participants.

· Certification as an IRB professional preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

· Demonstrated ability to provide superior levels of customer service.

· A reliable, motivated, self-starter who can work in an unsupervised environment.

· Demonstrated ability to learn quickly.

· Quality-driven and detail-oriented.
