McLaren Health Care, located in Flint, Michigan is searching for the right candidate to join the Corporate IRB Team. The IRB Analyst is expected to perform complex and confidential duties to facilitate the review and approval process of proposed research activities involving human subject at MHC and its subsidiaries. This position will have responsibility for Human Subject Protection (including submission analysis, compliance, and oversight) and IRB Operations (including communication with the researchers and other institutions) as well as other duties falling under the HRPP department. This position will report directly to the Corporate Director of HRPP department.
Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree (biology, psychology or other clinical research-related area) or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in IRB administration, research or regulatory affairs
Certified IRB Professional (CIP) is highly desirable or will be required within 2 years of employment
Qualifications:
Knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to research, ICH GCP, HIPAA and ethics
Basic knowledge of clinical research and familiarity with medical terminology
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with IRB Board members, manage complex administrative tasks and set priorities under deadline pressure with a multiple ongoing projects
Must be self-motivated and be able to initiate and compete routine and non-routine tasks
Ability to work as an effective team member
Excellent critical thinking skills and detail oriented
Familiarity with IRB software platforms is a plus
