The Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University IRB is seeking an IRB Analyst for the IRB based at Montefiore Medical Center.
This position is responsible for assisting with the processing of IRB submissions to one of two IRBs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Audit IRB transactions (e.g. progress reports, amendments, etc.) and prepare them for review.
. Follow-up with any outstanding issues after audit/review.
. Draft IRB transaction approval letters.
. Provide education to research community and IRB members.
. Provide support to the research community on the web-based system related to progress reports and amendments.
QUALIFICATIONS
. Education: BA/BS required.
. 1-2 years of experience in an academic health center or medical school IRB strongly preferred.
. Knowledge of applicable federal regulations related to IRB and clinical research; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent written and oral communications skills; excellent customer service skills.
. Certification as an IRB professional (CIP) is preferred.
Character Traits
. Strong audit, organizational, communication, and service oriented skills.
. Attention to detail (high integrity, analytical).
. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
. Ability to adapt to custom web-based software.
