Friends,
A gentle but enthusiastic reminder of the upcoming late May/early June deadline regarding proposals for papers for the 2008 Symposium taking place within the Society of Research Administrators International annual meeting.
Papers through the SRA Symposium are a fantastic way to enrich the art, the science, the scholarship, and the professional service of research administration. As one of the many activities at the SRA annual meeting this year in the DC area, a paper from you or one of your colleagues could be a great opportunity all the way around.
Mr. Joseph Cosico is the SRA Symposium Director. He is copied here. Please contact him for further details at: joseph.cosico@allina.com.
However, let me clue you in.................
What is needed at this time is to send him an email.
In it, provide a preliminary title, author names and institutions, and then perhaps a 5-10 sentence abstract-paragraph that summarizes what the paper will cover. The Symposium staff will then work with you directly on the next steps.
My purpose here is to stoke the fires.
I know you all have fantastic ideas and gifts. We all need your gifts so that all of our colleagues around the world can have our leadership enriched and refreshed.
And remember --- the topics can include anything related to any of the areas of research administration, sponsored research management, and any of the allied arts, sciences, and disciplines that are part of our leadership, service, and subject matter expertise. Research articles are fine, as are case studies, program summaries, reviews etc etc etc. The sky's the limit!
It's really great stuff.
So send Joe Cosico an email today. You won't regret it!
Remember, papers get competed for top honors too! Good stuff for personal achievement and professional recognition!
Submit today!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, yes.............. please forward this to any and all who may find this a great opportunity.
And no, you don't need to be an SRA member to submit, participate, and compete!
Regards,
EFG
