“Making it Work – Better”

The City University of New York invites IRB members and staff to attend our 5th annual IRB Symposium. The Symposium, “Making it Work – Better,” will be held in the Newman Conference Center at CUNY’s Baruch College, 151 E 25th Street, NYC, from 8:30 to 6:30.
The Symposium will feature a mixture of panel sessions and workshops, covering a wide variety of topics such as
o Students as research subjects,
o International research considerations,
o Conflict management,
o Preparing for the CIP© exam,
o IRB administration nuts and bolts,
o New member and staff orientation, and
o Institutional responsibilities.
Dr. Ernest Prentice will present the Keynote Address, The Genesis of Research Ethics: From Nuremberg to a Death in Pennsylvania. OHRP’s Dr. Ivor Pritchard will participate in two panel sessions. A few of the other presenters include Ada Sue Selwitz, Jeffery Cohen, Hannah Rothstein, Judy Matuk, and Sergio Litewka.

The registration fee is $100, which includes the entire conference, all conference materials and plenty of food! Our beautiful Symposium venue is minutes from Grand Central Station and Penn Station.
