The IRB WebKitTM is an advanced web-based toolkit that lets you customize your own IRB database to fit your institution's unique requirements.

Out-of-the-box, the IRB WebKit
- Lets PIs use the web to submit protocol applications, continuing reviews, amendments, adverse events and violations and deviations.
- Lets protocol administrators use the web to manage protocols, meetings, researchers, and sponsors.
- Supports both online and offline processes, i.e. complete forms on the web, upload electronic documents, or mail forms and documents to the protocol office (tracking when they are received)
- Generates IRB agendas and minutes.
- Generates approval letters, continuing review notices, etc.
- Tracks whether study staff members have completed training.
- Tracks other committee approvals, e.g. pharmacy, radiation safety, etc.

Use the toolkit to
- Quickly convert your paper forms into web forms.
- Specify business rules, e.g. if the protocol involves drugs, ask the PI to complete the pharmacy application and mark the protocol for review by the pharmacy committee.
- Specify what documents must be uploaded or mailed to the protocol office, e.g. a Word document containing the protocol description.
- Create / customize mail merge letters, e.g. approval letters, 90/60/30 day continuing review notices, etc.
