The philosophy of The IRB Forum is to promote a conversation among individuals concerned about and involved in human subjects protection. The IRB Forum strives to create an atmosphere for open and uncoerced conversation about issues of mutual interest to the members. Although the privacy of e-mail cannot be guaranteed, the members of The IRB Forum should respect the confidentiality and opinions of others on the list. If you choose to quote or forward messages posted on this list to other people, it should be with appropriate attribution and ONLY with the permission of the individual posting the message. The printing and distribution of discussions on this list for the education of IRB members is appropriate, but the messages should be considered confidential and the print-outs treated accordingly.
