The News is a "read only" list that is not available for posting by the general IRB Forum members. If you select "New Topic" when viewing the News items, and try to login, you will see a message that "You do not have access to this area or action. Please contact support if you require further information." Posting to the IRB News requires special authorization from The IRB Forum administrator. Requests for permission to post items to the IRB News will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Items posted to the IRB News must contain the following information: title, date published, source, web address (URL) and text. All the required information needs to be provided to allow for checking of the original source. To be eligible for posting, items need to be available on the web. No additional information other than the news item are allowed in the initial posting of a News item. Commentary can be added in a message responding to the News item. Copyright permission to post News items needs to be obtained prior to posting.

All messages need to be reviewed and approved by The IRB Forum moderator before they are posted to the website. The IRB Forum reserves the right to reject a posted News item for any reason.
